In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS)
What is IHSS?
When you receive IHSS, you get at-home help at no or little cost with bathing, dressing, meal preparation and clean up, bowel and bladder care, light housekeeping, the laundry, and shopping.
You'll also be responsible for hiring and managing your IHSS Provider.
When you become an IHSS Provider, you get a salary and job benefits to work for an IHSS Recipient who can be a family member, a friend, or a referral.
You don’t need prior education or training to become an IHSS Provider.
How the IHSS System works
IHSS partners with the IHSS Public Authority and Homebridge to support the ongoing needs of our Recipients and Providers.
