Important to Know About TADP

TADP is not a housing program. It does not guarantee housing, find housing for you, or
place you in housing. It only provides limited financial assistance that may temporarily help
with stabilizing your transition to new housing.

Services Provided by TADP

Based on your eligibility, you may receive either a temporary rental subsidy or a one-time
diversion payment. You cannot receive both.

The type of unit you lived in before the displacement determines which form of financial
assistance you may receive.

Tenants of rent-controlled units may receive a temporary monthly rent subsidy. This
subsidy pays the difference between the rent at your permanent residence and the cost
of a comparable temporary unit at current market rates. The subsidy can last for up to
12 months, or until your permanent home is ready to move back into, whichever comes
first.

Tenants of non-rent controlled units may receive a onetime diversion payment to help
cover move in costs for a new unit. This payment is made directly to the landlord of the
new unit.

Does TADP Help me Find Housing?

No. TADP does not:
• Search for housing
• Apply to rental units for you
• Pay rental deposits directly
• Pay application fees
• Guarantee housing placement.
However, the program can refer you to community organizations that can help with housing
search, applications, fees, and deposits
