Video Transcript: County Adult Assistance Program (CAAP)
Welcome to CAAP.
CAAP stands for County Adult Assistance Programs. A program designed to provide cash assistance and employment services and more to low-income San Franciscans with no dependent children, including those who cannot work, immigrants, and refugees.
CAAP issues monthly funds on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card that you use like a bank card for purchases at retail stores or at ATMs to withdraw cash.
Your eligibility for CAAP is based on residency, income, and expenses. You may be eligible to receive CAAP benefits while working, or attending vocational training or classes for GED, ESL, or a high school diploma.
If you want more information about CAAP visit the section right below this video. You can contact us by phone, fax or in person and one of our staff members will help to check your eligibility and apply for CAAP.
