Ang Dignity Fund Oversight and Advisory Committee (OAC)

Ang Dignity Fund Oversight and Advisory Committee (OAC) ay sumusubaybay at nakikilahok sa pangangasiwa ng Dignity Fund at nagsasagawa ng mga hakbang upang matiyak na pinangangasiwaan ito sa paraang mananagot sa pamayanan. Ang Dignity Fund ay isang stream ng kita na pinangangasiwaan ng Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS) upang matulungan ang mga matatandang matatanda (60+ taong gulang) at mga matatanda na may kapansanan (18+ taong gulang) na ma secure at magamit ang mga serbisyo at suporta na kinakailangan upang may dignidad sa kanilang sariling mga tahanan at komunidad. Upang malaman ang higit pa tungkol sa kung paano kailangan ang Dignity Fund upang matiyak ang kalusugan at kagalingan ng mga indibidwal na ito, maaari mong suriin ang kumpletong Dignity Fund Charter Amendment.   

Mga Responsibilidad ng OAC

  • Ang OAC ay responsable para sa pagbuo ng mga rekomendasyon sa DAS at ang Pondo tungkol sa:
    • Mga layunin ng kinalabasan para sa mga serbisyo sa mga matatanda at matatanda na may kapansanan
    • Pagsusuri ng mga serbisyo
    • Mga karaniwang sistema ng data
    • Isang proseso para sa paggawa ng mga desisyon sa pagpopondo
    • Pagpapabuti ng programa at mga tagapagbigay ng pagbuo ng kapasidad
    • Pakikipag ugnayan sa komunidad sa pagpaplano at pagsusuri ng mga serbisyo
    • Pakikinabang sa dolyar ng Pondo
    • Ang paggamit ng Pondo bilang pagpapadali sa pagbabago
  • Pagbibigay ng input sa proseso ng pagpaplano para sa Community Needs Assessments (CNA) at ang huling CNA, ang mga serbisyo at allocation plan, at ang pangkalahatang plano sa paggastos para sa Pondo
  • Pagrerepaso sa taunang data at evaluation report
  • Pagtatatag at pagpapanatili ng isang service provider working group
  • Pagpupulong ng hindi bababa sa anim na beses bawat taon

Ang Dignity Fund OAC ay nagpupulong sa ikatlong Lunes ng bawat buwan mula alas 3:00 hanggang alas 5:00 ng hapon sa 1650 Mission Street, 5th Floor.

 

Mga miyembro

Ang OAC ay binubuo ng 11 miyembro, tulad ng sumusunod:

  • Dalawang miyembro ng Aging and Adult Services Commission
  • Tatlong miyembro ng Advisory Council sa DAS
  • Tatlong miyembro ng Long Term Care Coordinating Council
  • Tatlong malalaking miyembro na itinalaga ng Mayor at napapailalim sa pagtanggi ng Lupon ng mga Superbisor sa loob ng 30 araw ng abiso ng appointment.

Mga Pamantayan para sa Pagiging Miyembro

Ang layunin ng OAC ay magkakaiba ang komposisyon kabilang ang, ngunit hindi limitado sa: lahi, kasarian, edad, wika, supervisorial district at mga kapitbahayan, karanasan sa mga serbisyo sa pagtatrabaho para sa mga nakatatanda at matatandang indibidwal, karanasan sa pagtatrabaho sa mga serbisyo para sa mga matatanda na may kapansanan, karanasan sa pagtatrabaho sa mga serbisyo para sa mga taong may HIV/AIDs, at karanasan sa pagtatrabaho sa mga beterano.

Ang iba pang kanais nais na mga kwalipikasyon ay kinabibilangan ng karanasan sa pag oorganisa at pakikipag ugnayan sa komunidad, pag unawa at karanasan sa pagtatrabaho sa mga prinsipyo ng equity matrix, at karanasan sa pampublikong pagpopondo at pagbabadyet.

Committee Information

The OAC is responsible for developing recommendations to DAS and the Fund regarding: 

  • Outcome objectives for services to seniors and adults with disabilities
  • Evaluation of services
  • Common data systems
  • A process for making funding decisions
  • Program improvement and capacity-building providers
  • Community engagement in planning and evaluating services
  • Leveraging dollars of the Fund
  • The use of the Fund as a catalyst for innovation
  • Providing input into the planning process for Community Needs Assessments (CNA) and the final CNA, the services and allocation plan, and the overall spending plan for the Fund
  • Reviewing the annual data and evaluation report
  • Establishing and maintaining a service providers working group
  • Meeting at least six times per year  

The OAC is composed of 11 members, as follows:

  • Two members of the Aging and Adult Services Commission
  • Three members of the Advisory Council to DAS
  • Three members of the Long-Term Care Coordinating Council
  • Three at-large members appointed by the Mayor and subject to rejection by the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of notice of appointment

Criteria for Membership

The goal of the OAC is to be diverse in composition including, but not limited to: ethnicity, gender, age, language, supervisorial districts and neighborhoods, experience working services for seniors and aging individuals, experience in working in services for adults with disabilities, experience working in services for people with HIV/AIDs, and experience working with veterans.

Other desirable qualifications include experience in community organizing and engagement, understanding and experience in working with equity matrix principles, and experience with public financing and budgeting.
