Check CAAP Eligibility

Eligibility for CAAP is based on residency, income, and expenses. You may be eligible to receive CAAP benefits while working or attending vocational training or classes for GED, ESL, or a high school diploma.

To apply for CAAP, you should have: 

  • San Francisco residency
  • Net income of under $714 per month
  • Personal property limit of $2,000 per single adult or $3,000 per couple
  • Vehicle ownership limited to one vehicle
  • Student status limited to an associate degree program (two-year college) or vocational school
  • CalFresh and Medi-Cal benefits – if not, your application for both will be automatically included with your online CAAP application
